In case you didn’t catch it, the American Music Awards was on last night……It was Aaaaight-I’m playing it was real good!!!! The Black-eyed Peas won two AMA’s-Best Pop Rock and Best Soul Group (the second is debatable to me-I’m mean I’m  just saying). Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Timbaland and the Black Eyed Peas were each on stage putting it down how they do, with Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston doing comeback performances as well during the night. Now Mrs. J. Lo took  a funny fall (definitely worth a you-tube dig up) after she climbed up on a human pyramid of  male dancers. After jumping off a dancer’s back, she lost her balance and landed ass-first (See bottom right pic-ass like hers, you know she’s ok doe-matter fact she shoulda landed back on her feet soon as her ass hit the ground, lol).  Taylor Swift won the most awards with a total of five (she accepted them on the big screen…..that damn Kanye must got the girl paranoid), edging out the late Michael Jackson, who won four posthumous awards. Though Eminem went home empty handed, he did perform his hit single “Crack a Bottle” with 50 Cent, in addition to his verse from the track “Forever,” which features Drake, Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed together as Keys opened their set with a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,  and then went into “Empire State of Mind”. Jay-Z won both Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop album. Now he gave his thank you’s and shout-outs, but when he ended-he ended by saying the line, “Women Lie, men lie, numbers don’t.” (You ain’t never seen a dude who gets so much joy, in winning the race against young niggas in the next lanes over). I guess Jay was taking a shot at 50 Cent at that time; you know Jay doesn’t address his detractors directly anymore, only in code and/0r on the low.  As Jay-Z said his acceptance speech, Chris Brown tweeted “cornball” ( See above middle left twit) and he quickly deleted the tweet. EVERYBODY saw that as a shot, but Chris said he as referring to somebody in his house. (He denies that shit but whatever, what he NEEDS to do is start thinking more and acting out less-instead of getting hemmed on all this bullshit all the time)! Q-Tip got his crab in the bucket twit on too, at first he said:  “cocky rapper…. gee whiz… we get it”. Then he explained a bit more: “no hate…. general statement…” And then he said:  “oh brotha…. no beef at all. the cockiness is apparent with all of us rappers. pt.2 coming” (…….Hmm, I guess Q).
